The Douglas Bistro offers a modern yet classic take on Bistro style dining, we like to say ‘a refreshing simplicity but with serious intent’

Our wonderful team of chefs use seasonal and fresh ingredients, sourced (whenever possible) from Arran and Ayrshire.

Classic dishes with surprising twists and established favourites can be enjoyed in our Bistro and Bar - with our understated décor and friendly, hospitable service combining to ensure a memorable dining experience on Arran.

Inspired by the fantastic produce that epitomises Scottish cuisine, the chefs at the Douglas actively source local ingredients wherever possible.

Scottish Salmon, sustainable local fish and shellfish from Creelers Arran Smokehouse, Arran and Ayrshire beef, Arran Butcher venison all feature strongly on the menu. The Douglas menus promote the island’s cottage producers, with local treats such as Wooley’s oatcakes, Island cheeses, Paterson’s of Arran mustards and preserves, Arran Dairies ice cream and even Arran Brewery beers incorporated into the menus.
