With peaceful views of – and easy access to – the hotel’s private gardens, which is ideal if you want to bring your pooch. There’s an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. And a collection of scented toiletries from Arran Aromatics to calm and soothe you.

We have two partially adapted rooms at The Douglas Hotel.  Both rooms are generously sized to accommodate wheelchair users and motorized scooters, but as you will note, each offers a different style of bathroom to suit our guests’ requirements:

Room 001 – Ground floor Executive room that can be made as double or twin. The room is situated to the rear of the Hotel with patio doors out to an enclosed garden/patio.  This room is partially adapted with an en-suite wet room/walk in shower. It also has a non-slip shower chair available, for extra peace of mind, if required.

Room 104 – First floor Executive Seaview double complete with adapted bathroom including sunken bath with shower over and additional fixed hand & safety rails.  The room boasts a spectacular sea-view as it is situated at the front of the Hotel.  It also has a non-slip safety step for extra peace of mind stepping in and out of the bath.

The Hotel has lift access to all floors and lovely wide corridors and doorways for ease of movement around the Hotel.  There is also accessible parking at the main hotel entrance.

The feeling of tranquillity continues in the sleep department with a super-king-sized bed with soft mattress topper and hypoallergenic linen. Plus, there are lovely fluffy bathrobes and slippers, a hairdryer, TV, tea & coffee making facilities, and some delectable biscuits from our local bakery.
